Where I’m From?

This is also the activity that I have done in my English Literacy class

“I Am From” Poem Template

Adapted by Levi Romero

Inspired by “Where I’m From” by George Ella Lyon

I am from cookhouse,

from ingredients and dishwash.

I am from the toys under the stair to paradise.

(unknown smell, the taste

I never test, feel I ever feel.)

I am from the Portulaca

The Madras Thorn whose long gone limbs I remember

as if they were my own.

I’m from Chinese and pagoda,

from dried shrimp and white hair.

I’m from love

and complain

and from her new house, she never knows

I’m from banana leaf

Hand-hade toy.

I’m from Chang Meng,

I’m from the first place that I cry.

and standing forest love to sit

and Chab Chhay

From she shut her eyes never open,

without saying goodbye.

get up at 2 am salty water comes out.

Next to my house is her document place

My parents call it the mean full house

keeping a very good memory with a smiling face

can imagine but can’t be real,

leaving never comeback.
